Goof about Shoelaces

It says in the Goof's section of this film that British Police confiscate the shoes rather than just the laces. This is wrong. When I got nicked they took my laces and left me with the shoes. Took me ages threading them back through too.

Being 'nicked' does not make you a criminal.

In my experience (which was once and no I am not a criminal) they remove everyones shoes - whether you have shoelaces or not. This is in the UK, I can't speak for anywhere else.

I try not to listen... I find it distracting.

They do not remove your shoes, I have been arrested myself and they didn't remove my laces or my shoes

I didn't remove my laces or my shoes but I guess they assumed I wouldn't choke myself because I had to spend a night in the cells.
