South London Estate?
Does anyone have a clue which estate this was filmed on?

that was my first thought too (no disprespect to the poster)- it's like asking which city block of New York something was filmed in and being told "The Bronx, perhaps?"
It was all filmed in New Cross SE14 - they filmed when I lived there - all around Hatcham Park. They iused the working mens club and also used the council estate on Hatcham Park road. They also did a lot of filming in Deptford and Bermondsey and pub scenes were in a pub called the 3 or 5 bells on the corner of The Old Kent Road and Hatcham Road.
shareThe wimpy was defo bermondsey. When Billy goes in and out of the estate apparently thats peeps estate in deptford. When Billy walks over the grass with his mate Danny that looks like burgess park and going onto aylesbury. The laundrette scenes are old kent road!!!!
