You don't have to look for them. As previous poster pointed out most rodent balls are very prominent, they mark their territory by dragging them on the ground. If that mouse had been male it woulda been obvious.
Only time I go looking for mouse balls is around November 18, Micky Mouse's birthday. Then we have S'getti and mouse balls with cheese sauce.
