If Stryker were the main character. Everyone else should have just died in 3 seconds, and the whole movie is Stryker giving all the villians fatalities. This movie would have made billions.

shareIt was a bit insulting how the only mention of him was from Rain just before he (sigh.) dies.
Too many characters and not enough screen time made this film blow. I suppose the same could be said for Spider-Man 3. Basically, I think the first film should have been set on that island where the tournament would be held. Shang Tsung should have been his older self from the first game. Everyone should have been virtual strangers before the tournament. The characters would be from the first game - Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scopion, Goro, Shang Tsung, Kano, Johnny Cage and Rayden.
So technically this film should have been set in the time period of MK2. Less characters means more character development and plot coherence.
1. A better script.
2. More like the storyline of MK2, since the first movie was like MK1.
3. MK2 characters. So Sheeva, Motaro, Rain, Ermac, and yes...Sindel. I don't really know whether Sindel should or should not appear, because she kinda puts in a big point between Kitana and Shao Khan's rivalry.

If they had a random scene where the best actors around like Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Pacino, DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Charlton Heston etc randomly showed up and did a scene of Shakespeare, then cuts back to the rest of this suckfest - randomly likie Gremlins 2 with the John Wayne stuff!!!

I was okay with this movie...in fact I completely loved it when it came out!!! :P LOL...but I do have 2 say that I do wish that more characters got screen time...like Sonya killing off Mileena...I don't think that this should have happened...it would have been better if they had a scene or something between Kitana and Mileena...Mileena is like my favorite character of ALL TIME...IDK y, but she is & in most of the games, I'm the best with her...Also I think that Sonya was better played by Bridgette Wilson...does anyone else agree???...Also what's with Sheeva's death???...She should've at least made it to the end of the movie!!!...What does everyone else think???
shareAnd lets not forget that Stryker and Kabal don't even make it - they mentioned being killed early on - but in the MK3 game where this would of been set - they were survivors!!! duh!!!! Instead they make room for the obscure hidden characters from later MKTrilogy games like Ermac, Rain etc. Did't Sektor not make it either! Smoke could of been the ninja instead of the robot version!

No that would make the movie SUCK BALLS There is a reason Stryker was only in 3 games because he is just a stupid cop and for Armageddon they really screwed him up by making him look like some sort of Johnny Cage/Bank Robber/James Franco Green Goblin thing
