Raise Your Hand If You Like The Classic Games Better...

Don't get me wrong, the new games are awesome especially with the amount of characters and the bringing back of old ones. But for some reason I seem to like the button mashing, repeated uppercut using, OMG I just did a bicycle kick, games than the "Watch Me Pull Of A 15 Hit Combo, Easily Killing You."

I totally agree, and I like your examples of what makes the classics so enjoyable, lol. Uppercutting to no limit = spot on awesome. and yeah I remember the first time I did the bicycle kick, lol, and since then I use it during every round to no end.

I don't know, because I never beat any arcade match in the classic Mortal Kombat games, especially MK3. Not even the first matches. I finally beat some on MKD (Mortal Kombat Deception).

I do like the character developments like Jade and Scorpion, and the whole different fighting styles and weapons to make it look more unique, but there are some situations that lack. One example is when a character finishes a combo, there are no chances to block quickly if your opponent hits back.

Like I said, I'm at the fence.

I absolutely loved the first game. And I liked the second game, but not as much as the first. But then I just got tired of the series. I never dug the sequels like I did the original, and felt like they just drove the franchise into the ground.

I think Deadly Alliance saved the series. I love those games. I own Deception and Armageddon, and I think DA and Deception are the best games in the series, aside from the very first. They play great, have awesome characters, and finally got some nice character designs, especially for guys like Shang Tsung. Plus, Deception has the so-bad-its-good story mode, where you can randomly punch people, including MK characters from throughout the years, and then have people tell your tales about Outworld's rice wine.
