M.I.B. tv-show that's true to the comic
Recently after the positive reactions to the more darker themed tv-shows out there.
I think the world is ready to know and view the Men in Black as they truly are.
A non existing government agency that protects the world from all kinds of supernatural and extraterrestrial threats, whilst also trying to control and reshape the world and it's population through any means necessary.
For those of you who have read the comics on which the movies are based on, you know what I'm talking about.
Jay being killed in action whilst undercover for the D.E.A. Which is secretly all set up by the m.i.b. to offer him the "choice" to join them/they or to fill the empty coffin they set up back home.
The chain smoking Kay just wanting to kill every witness, alien and supernatural demon he crosses paths with because it's the "easy" and fun way, why else has he got a licence to stab, shoot, blow up or otherwise exterminate potential threats?
They could just use the original comics as the first episodes and go from there.
I loved the comics and I loved the movies.
But it's like the Mask comic and movie. (also true to comic tv-show worthy?)
The movies and comics are just taking place in different universes and I personally prefer the darker tone of comic book universes.
So there's a thought. Let me know what you think about the potential for something like this to succeed.
