Did anyone else feel a little disturbed when....

Edgar was yanked by his head into the crash site and the bug ripped him apart and ate him, then regurgitated his flesh? I mean, I know you didn't see any blood or gore, but just the way he's screaming as you can hear him getting torn apart by the bug?

I mean, Edgar the farmer was obviously abusive and cruel to his wife, but DAMN. I was just a kid when we got this for Christmas and were watching it. I remember this scene bothered me so much I almost stopped watching it. It still bothers me. Every time I occasionally watch this film, I'm like, "Oh no, it's that part again."

Did anybody else feel the same way?? y'know, bothered or disturbed by it??

What for? Edgar was the stereotype Hollywood jerk that comes across as deserving to get wasted. You know, like the drunk redneck who starts peeing into the river, yells "Here fishy fishy fishy!"...and then a big mutant river monster fish jumps out the river, swallows him, and swims away.

No, I know he deserved it, but I'm disturbed by how it happened. I'm talking the sounds of him getting ripped apart while screaming. That was disturbing as hell when I was a kid, and almost killed the movie for me.

No it wasn't! Only the sex talk was supposed to disturb you.
