Sequence of things and other questions **spoilers**

It's hard to believe Kate would have married Ray without the ability to consummate, so I'm assuming they were married and then he went to war and lost his manhood in Vietnam? What do you think?

I'm thinking maybe the motivation for the kidnapping is to bring his wife a child to raise since he can't give her one?

What's confusing is that it appears he raped Mrs. Knight, yet how could he if he's missing his part?

I do agree with another poster - why wouldn't Mrs. Knight be demanding to know where her son is before shooting him - nuts or not? Also, I would think she'd want to stay alive in case her son was alive.

Not sure what was with the wig Mrs. Knight wore. So Ray would not recognize her? It's not like she looked anything like she did at the time of the kidnapping anyway. If anything, the wig style looked more like her hair at the time of the kidnapping than her present hair.
