Modern film noir
This is a GREAT example of modern day colour film noir. Cinematographer Bill Butler did an amazing job lighting this film. Next time you watch it, drop the colour off your set and watch it in “black and white”. If you look at Mr. Butler’s resume’ this film somewhat sticks out as a project he wouldn’t be tapped for, but I think it really shows he knows his stuff. I really loved the look of this film, and on top of the direction, it was visually amazing.
