Truly perfect casting of well developed characters whoa re more than just caricatures of "the tough guy"(Bud) for example.

Haven't watched it in a few years and just sitting in awe at how well acted it is and how our three main characters just chew up every scene they are in

Not saying Russel Crowe had a bad career after this because he objectively didn't.

but just makes me feel like if he wasn't such an aggressive controversial alcoholic who put eating and liquor ahead of continuing to act and perfect his art he could have been top 10 greatest actors of all time
