Anyone else notice the focus on the ice when KK makes all of his drinks?

Ice = The Ice Storm

I especially like it when he's at the key party and drunkenly grabs ice out of the bucket, like he needs it--fast--for a drink..

IDK if it's just my take on things but I think it's kinda darkly funny, how basically, all the characters are doing in this movie (esp KK) are drinking and smoking....ahh the glorious old days when smoking wasn't taboo!

I seriously LOLd at the first party scene when Sigourney (and one or two others) were smoking at the dinner table while people were eating, and then how the majority of them were smoking in the den after.

That's how it was in the 70s.

I remember going out to restaurants before there were smoking sections.

I still have a vivid restaurant memory of a man at the table next to us forking his food with his left hand and holding a lit cigarette in his right hand.
