i completely agree....and i don't know what "spit game" means. some mediocre looking guys can attract girls with personality but this guy had none! that chick had problems anyway.

He has the drugs. That immediately bumps him into the rebel motorcycle outlaw that girls are attracted to. He probably has money too. And, yes, he's probably a real good bullsh!tter. If a guy like Telly (from Kids) can score with chicks, so can this guy.

well her character was a smart girl, but liked to do drugs so maybe she just saw him as a guy to bring drugs and drink with.. I didn't read the book but in the movie at least, it didn't seem like anything sexual had happened between the two of them before Tobey got there.. but why did they cast david krumholtz in that part? they could have got someone at least somewhat believable as the guy who gets laid all the time.. no matter how much game you can "spit" no one gets that lucky that often looking like that..

i don't think we're led to believe that she had sex with him. he may have tried, though. the point is that he shoved his way into their date as he always does with girls that tobey's character likes.

but yes, i know what you mean...he didn't exactly look like a stud. although, he's pretty good looking now. a friend and i accidently ran into numb3rs while channel surfing the other say (a new show starring krumholtz), and we both said "who knew he'd turn out to be good looking???"

I know. I saw the movie last month and said, "Oh, God, Elephant Man underwent Hollywood surgery!" But then it hit me--Bernard from "The Santa Clause"! He's still not attractive, though, sorry to Davey boy if he ever sees this.
