Lymelife (2008) in its structure, is almost mirror image of Ice Storm!

I’m very suprised that nobody recognized, how much Lymelife (2008) in its structure, is almost mirror image of Ice Storm (1997).

The Ice Storm is much better, but early in the Lymelife, everything reminded me of Ice Storm. The Ice Storm's victim, is here a victim of disappointed man.

Oh I agree....I really liked both movies, though (for different reasons) .
Also, I wanted to see how each movie portrayed the 1970s.

I hadn't heard of Lymelife but just watched it and there are some similarities between the theme(s) of unhappy life in the suburbs and the time of year that film begins in. That was a decent film and I thought it was well acted and kept me interested in most of the characters.

If you watch it, you should check out the alternative ending and again with commentary. To quote Libbets, "Thanks for the tip."

Sure, I got the Blu-ray version from Netflix and it was included on it (I don't know about the non Blu-ray releases.) The director's commentary was also interesting enough, but the volume was a little low (the dialogue in the film covered up the commentary in a couple of spots.)

I may wind up watching it again when fall gets here as it was good enough to warrant a second viewing. Enjoy, X

Edit 9/28: I actually bought the Blu-ray as you can easily find it for under $10 and I wanted to watch it again.
