On a scale of 0-10 how did you like Home Alone 3?
I give the movie a 3.5 out of 10, it did have some amusing moments but other than that I wasn't really impressed with this movie, at least it's not as horrible compared to Home Alone 4

Probably a 4.
shareI rated it a 10 just to screw up the rating system, which is a joke anyways. But realistically, it's no better or worse than most of the stuff that's currently being made and it should get about a 5. I'll tell you what, it's better than In Time with Justin Timerblake. Talk about a stinker. Worst movie I've seen in years.
6, not bad but nothing special, a little underrated
Home Alone 4? I would give a 1, bad casting, everyone looks younger, much younger and it bore the sh*t out of me.
5/10
Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for.
I hadn't seen this since around 1998/99, until recently.
I was bought it for Christmas back then and I loved it, but then again I was 10/11.
However I watched Home Aline 1, 2 & 3 back to back the other day and I loved the first two. The third was just... bad. I guess as you get older you obviously analyse movies a lot more. For example, around the same time as HA3 I also got Batman & Robin (with George Clooney) and I loved that too. But now if I can bring myself to watch it, it's an embarrassment to the franchise.
I guess as adults it's too easy to pick faults for movies made for kids... HA3 had action, adventure, crime, comedy and suspension, and I loved it, however as an adult I can honestly say it's crap!
As a kid the VHS would have been beside 'The Goonies', 'The Mask', 'Ghostbusters'... It's only as you grow older that you learn to look deeper, and only a handful of movies you loved as a kid are still considered great as an adult.
I actually think it's unfair to criticise movies like this, as we are not the demographic anymore.
Between a 6.5-7 for me, it wasn't that bad. I think in some ways it was better than part 2. I don't know why but I never really liked Part 2 that much, it just felt different from the original. 3 came close but managed to be it's own thing, and I felt it was as fun as the first.
Nostalgia wise I rate it a 10, one of the better 90's movies.
Same, it's like a 6-7 for me, but I do like the first 2 better. I just like that it has a different twist on the Home Alone concept and that John Hughes wrote the script. It has its own charm.
shareI'll give this movie a 6 it could have been a little bit better. What I didn't like about the 3rd one was it was missing that Christmasy feel.
share8-9. On par with the first one. Didn't really like the second one.
share3.5 also.
Three reasons it sucked.
1. The kid wasn't anywhere as funny, talented or likable as kevin.
2. What was said above but for the supporting cast. The original Mom, Buzz, the Wet Bandits and the old man are far better characters than this movies counterparts.
3. This movie was 80% the Kid against the bad guys, tedious. In the original that only happened at the end for the rest you saw Kevin have a life alone, he went shopping, ordered pizza, played at home, missed his family, met the old man etc.
It was fun and well paced. This however was the last 20 mins of Home Alone stretched out for 80 mins, it was boring.
