That's why this movie doesn't work as good as the others. Home Alone and Home Alone 2 were kid's movies who could also be watched by adults. But this one is just a complete ridiculous kid's movie. Starting with the retarded break ins to find a car. They know it's an old lady, so find out which house belongs to the old woman. Ring the bell, get the car back, that's it.

Exactly I guess it wouldn't be much of a movie if they did all of that.

Except that she had already given to car to Alex (for shoveling her walk) prior to the criminals coming to town.
