Is this movie set in the same "universe" of the first 2 movies?
It is never implied, but I always wondered if they were. Has it eve been mentioned by the director or anyone?
I do not know 100%, but I would doubt it. Especially after he calls the cops twice in a Chicago suburb while home alone, I feel like there would've been a mention of it at that point in time and maybe a bit more understanding by the authorities if they were all familiar with Marv and Harry..
I guess this film was a standalone thus why no mention of the first two films.
