I was originally cast to play Alex in Home Alone 3 but I couldn't do it due to sickness. I had no prior acting experience except for a few commercials =D

no actually i havent, just have done some commercials for old navy, and some others.

Is that so? I haven't seen the movie(don't really plan on it), but do you think you could have done better than that Alex?

P.S. I'm only on this board because I saw the positive review that Roger Ebert gave it. I may see it if it comes on TV.

I spent my entire childhood growing up. What a waste.

I dont want to sound full of myself or anything, but im pretty sure i would have. I am more energetic than he was. I slap myself everytime i see it on tv or see anything that has to do with Home Alone 3, lol.

I wonder why the trivia says nothing about your claim:

"The role of Alex was a coveted one, with over 100 kids trying out for the part. Alex D. Linz won the part, beating another child star, Philip Petrie, who had also tried out for the part of Sammy in One Fine Day (1996), a role taken by Alex D. Linz."

Not saying i don't believe you or that IMDb trivias are always 100% correct, it's just odd
