Blu-Ray Picture Quality
I watched this movie in HD for the first time recently. I really enjoy the film as I did as a kid but was a little disappointed by the picture quality. The image is sharper as it should be on a Blu-Ray disc but it seems to lack the depth I remember the film having. Also it looks too bright as if all the shadows and smoke are absent from the film making the film look less "dark" and less life-like. Perhaps this was to make the film look less scary for younger generations of kids who have become more sensitive to "scary" images than previous generations.
