How did Hades know Meg was dying?

It is not a major problem within the story, but after Hades drains the remaining divinity within Hercules in exchange to promise never to have Meg hurt, Hades releases the Titans, and attacks Olympus. After he is (rather quickly) defeated, he flees back to the underworld where he gloats that Meg is "dying to see me". So, how did Hades know Meg was dying when he was atop Olympus the whole time?

The narrative even becomes more confusing when Hades knows Meg's death happened moments ago, but it takes him eighteen years to find Hercules was still alive.

Yeah, it seems to me like you've found a plot hole. Hades is supposed to know when a person has died though, and it was even explained in one episode of the later TV series.

Well, it's not really a plot hole. Hercules found his strength back and was able to fight on Olympus so Hades ,obviously, guessed that something happened to Meg (as it was part of their deal)

Either he could sense it or figured that the cyclops would've ended her during its rampage. That's how I'm looking at it.
