Hard Eight?
What does that title mean?
shareIt's a term from craps. Rolls can be either "easy" or "hard", depending on whether it's made in doubles or another combination. Of course, in terms of the film, it's meant to be symbolically applied to the situation within it. Sometimes when you win, it comes in a tough, "hard" fought victory, as opposed to an easy win.
shareLife's like a penis; When it's soft you can't beat it; When it's hard you get screwed
sharePaul Thomas Anderson doesn't like the title. He said it sounds too much like "heartache."
