Mention of characters (did anyone else notice?)

In the scene where Samuel L. Jackson is grilling Philip Baker Hall he says something to the tune of "I know all the people you know. Floyd Gondoli, Jimmy Gator..." For those of you who don't know, Gondoli and Gator are the characters Philip Baker Hall played in "Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia", respectively. So, my question is, did anyone else notice this? And if you did, what do you think it means? Probably nothing. Just a cool little coincidence from the PTA world.

Yeah I noticed, probably just cool names PTA decided to reuse and reference back to his debut feature. Peace.

it is quite a coincidence they were names of characters Baker Hall was still to play. nice though.

Paul Thomas Anderson does alot of things like that, like "inside jokes" sort of thing. like in magnolia when the game show is on the host,philip baker hall, says the show is sponsered by the PTA...
