I have never seen this adaption before, but planning to. But I had read that she divorce Hank Azaria's character in the movie, what was the main reason for the divorce? Was he abusive to her like his counterpart Bentley Drummle?

No reason is given for the divorce, but its certainly not surprising. I imagine it didn't work out because Estella is heartless and cruel. And at the end when Finn is with her, she'll probably be heartless and cruel to him again if they try and have a relationship.
