The slow-mo fight scenes

Just want to preface this buy saying i do enjoy the movie. However, the slow motion fight shots are unforgivably poor. I mean when they edited it did they actually think it looked good?

With a few exceptions I generally hate slow motion shots. But a lot of filmmakers seem to like it. So guess everyone was fine with it.

I get the meaning for them, but as stated I generally dislike slow motion.

It was a plot device just to get the point across that these guys would fight in the old neighborhood for no reason. Wasn't worth the time or the money to choreograph anything else. Point was made and the movie continued.
