Great Film and story, but I think Will was a bit prick

I loved the Story, was interesting but at times I was very annoyed by Will the character.
He was a bit of Brat prick if U ask me. Here there were, many great people around him fighting to give him a Chance and all he does is mock, act like a Brat and reject dverybody.
I've met people who grew up in harsh conditions, and they are Grateful ! For the chances and road they are in, and Choose to do good
It seems to me (Of course, beyond the Film story and "change" of the character) that this Guy if he wss in real life kets say, he would ve remajned an Inconsiderate Prick with an Attitude. Still thinking he is better than everybody else
Otherwise, I liked it. I think Robin Williams did a terrific job R.I.P

I didn't find anyone in the film likable, much.
I understood why he pushed everyone away. He said to the professor that it was a joke to him because it was so easy. It must be frustrating to be the only one who has an ability. It must be isolating to be so intelligent. What I hated about him was the fact he was a criminal. No amount of genius makes assault, stealing, etc forgivable.
I also found it unrealistic that with his hot-headed temperament he walked away when the therapist choked him - and he returned for the next session. Oh, and nobody's going to bring up the psycho therapist choking him?! Will misinterpreted a painting, that's all.
His friends were irritating, although I liked the scene where the guy encouraged him not to waste himself (well, he said he'd kill him!). The girlfriend was fine, but personally I wouldn't be hanging onto someone who said he didn't love me back and acted up like that (maybe I don't know what love is). The professor was OK. I liked the tension between he and the therapist and their different approaches to treating Will.

I think there were a couple of things at work there.

1: Will is from an abusive background. Someone manhandling him on some level probably felt very normal.

2: He clearly thought he would scare Sean away just as he had the other two shrinks he'd already seen. It didn't work; to the contrary, he got jacked up by a guy who threatened to "end" him for talking about his wife. Even Will had some realization that he'd crossed the line there, and that his attempt to tease the guy into not being his therapist backfired in a big way. So when he finds that Sean wants him to come back, I think he's partly curious, but also on some level recognizes that this is a guy he can respect.

Whores will have their trinkets.
