This is possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen.
It's totally cool...if you are five.
I can't believe that adults can watch this crap.

I'm just about one of the most cynical people around when it comes to films today, so much so that people are often under the impression that I don't like any films (not true, I'm a huge film fan, I've just been disappointed by most of what the last decade or so has had to offer).
This film, however, serves its purpose. Yeah, maybe I only like it because I liked it as a kid in the 90s, but that's who it was aimed at, and it did its job. If you're holding it up next to a Sergio Leone or Ingmar Bergman film, then obviously it pales in comparison, but that's not the fault of the film itself. It's good, simple, braindead fun which hasn't stopped being likeable (unlike some other kids films I watched when growing up which do absolutely nothing for me today).
These bastards!
Its not about being a snob or douche it's just that I cant see anyone over the age of 14 finding this movie funny. Seriously nothing in this movie is funny it might have been funny when u were 8 or 7 yrs old but re-watching this is just painful I could careless how this movie was a part of the 90's nickelodeon era its simply just not funny.
shareYeah well guess what? your opinion of what is and isn't funny is not a fact.
shareI'm in my 20's and I love this movie. Really funny.
shareI hate when people try to shove their opinions on others. Ok, so you don't like it, fine! However, to suggest that no one over five could like it is ridiculous. I was 10 when I saw the movie in 1997 and I loved it. I am now 25 and I still love it. I know it will never win any Oscars or Golden Globes, but it is a funny kids movie that brings back great memories of my childhood. For anyone to take this movie so seriously to the point of being so pissy that people love it is quite laughable.

One of my favorite comedy/drama films of all time. Keenan and Kel are one of the greatest comedic pairings of the modern era. They bring both humor and gravitas to their roles. There is more thematic depth in this film than any I've seen in a long time: friendship, food safety, race relations in modern society, corporatism in America.
I can tell that Brian Robbins is well versed on the classical literature of 18th century communist Russia. He calls to mind the great works of that generation, and paints an extraordinary visual picture that is unparalleled in modern cinema. Every shot is meticulously crafted. Every frame filled with visual splendor. The cinematography makes Children of Men look like it was shot by Joss Whedon on a cell phone.
Viewer be warned: multiple viewings are required. But each viewing is to be treasured. Every second that Keenan and Kel are on screen together is to be cherished. This is the film of a lifetime. It's like Sex and the City 2 except with black people. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
You obviously posted this on the message board just to piss people off!
shareI just showed this movie to some kids in my family and to my surprise even the eldest fussiest one actually sat through the whole movie laughing and her dad and her mom too
Its a good funny family movie :)
If its the most awful movie you've ever seen then that is your opinion but i don't agree sorry
Even kids of this generation Like it and its so hard to get them to actually sit through whole films these days and they sat through this so it has to be good but this is my opinion :) :D

Kenan and Kel were ALWAYS great
I like the part in the movie when spatch eats the fly alot of people find that really funny and the huge scary man and the part where Kenan gets the guards dancing around and frees them lol
