too predictable (Spoilers)

I found the twists in this movie too predictable. As soon as Glover said "I have a son and if anything should happen to me..." I right away figured out that that son must be the kidnapped boy which would not only obviously make Glover the kidnapper/killer but it also explained the "To find him you must kill me" bit. Because the Doctor seemed to be a man with morals and the killer knew this and set it up so that way the kid would be found if LaCrosse killed him. And not long after Glover and the Doctor appeared on screen I knew one of them must be the killer. I dunno, was I alone in finding the twists unsuprising or what?

I think it was obvious that Glover was the killer before the whole talk about his "son". I had Glover figured for the killer as soon as the movie started, pretty much, in the beginning where he kills the babysitter, the way he lifts her up and carries her down the stairs, you can tell it's kind of a tall guy, which rules out Jared Leto. And really, who else would it have been?

I think part of the problem was the trailer for the movie. In the trailer of the movie it gives a way that Quaid has a son that was kidnapped but in the movie that is not revealed until the movie is more than half way over.

theres a scene where he helps jared leto out who is being threatened in a lavatory and he threatens one of the guys with a knife to the crotch. put that with what the killer did with his knife earlier and it just screams it at you. I saw this with my mam one night and after that scene i said he's the killer but she goes "oh no he's helping the young lad so he obviously has goodness in him" I just found it intriguing that what my mam thought gave him the perfect alibi against being the killer actually confirmed it.

Well, I thought it became clear Danny Glover was the killer before the "I have a son" speech when he, ummm, killed a guy! ... At the gas station, remember?

Was thinking the same thing whislt reading this thread... He killed someone!! That pretty much settles it!

The film was making it so obvious the killer was Danny Glover, I was convinced there was going to be some type of twist ending in which he wasn't. It was only after Shorty was killed that I thought, "Maybe he is the killer".

Why is that "too" predictable?

It was quite plain that that was the sentence meant, and it was a clever pointer to the fact that the kid was still alive.

By that time we already knew the police suspected the killer was driving a white cadillac, dont forget.
