This movie is not intelligently thought out at all...

If it was intelligently thought out it would feel somewhat remotely plausible at the end. But it's just implausible event after implausible event with a million different variables that could've killed the protagonist. No company on Earth would be able to run so flagrantly. Not to mention it requires everyone around him to become Oscar winning actors for 'the game' to work. His brother played by Sean Penn had to actually become Sean Penn to convincingly trick Douglas into believing the game.

Having said that, Fincher is one of my favourite directors and despite the ridiculous plot there's still a lot to enjoy here. Impeccable aesthetics as usual and good pacing. Plot sucks balls though.
