what does alex throw off the bridge at the end? i just watched this on TV and am a flipper and i mustve missed what it was. any help would be great.

He throws the silver dollar in the dam, on the Nevada/Arizona border; just like Isabelle did at the beginning.

Im still a little confused…what silver dollar, where did he get his, did they show that part and why did he/she throw it in, does it explain what the tossing accomplice, what was the reason and did it show them discussing the tradition

The DVD version is much better than the edited TV version

thanks for the info. as for the DVD version, im sure its better, but im a bit of an insomniac and i pretty much watch whatever movie is on that starts at 1 or 3 or both....or more.

it is definitely a coin but it looks larger than the US dollar coin more like an old 50 cent piece with JFK on it.

It seems to be a take off on throwing a coin in a fountain to be granted a wish. Isabel just developed her own version with a BIG fountain. ;) And Alex, at that point is seeing the wisdom of not messing with the fates and keeping up the tradition Isabel began.
