but i have to disagree
chandler pre dating monica was quite basically
mean, spitful and lacked compassion.
the whitman character doesnt even try to say funny lines

Some of the jokes Alex makes remind me of chandler and some of the spaztic body movements. He does remind me of chandler...i think Matthew Perry plays the same character a lot (like in Friends, Fools rush in, the whole 9/10 yards) but he definately broke out of his shell when he played Ron Clark

This is an old thread but I don't care!
I just watched this movie, waiting to see the first sign of Chandler and I noticed it immediately when a guy is like "Some sushi?" and Matthew is like "hey!" and covers the fish that he's holdings 'ears' or something.
Anyways.. I think he did play the Chandler character alot, but now he is much more talented. Go watch The Ron Clark Story if you don't believe me!

Was watching this today and my five year old, leans in and whispers in my ear "mommy, that guy looks and talks like Chandler." I told him, that he sure does. Yup, we watch friends reruns very often and I do agree that the character was similar.
