Well it stars Bruce Willis and was filmed in English. You can't really call it a French film.

Luc Besson, masterful, versatile, award winning French director, writer, producer, and I believe some music input as well.

More importantly, the film was produced by Gaumont.

We don't determine the country of origin of a film by who is in the crew or cast or by what language it is made in, but by who paid for it.

The Fifth Element is unquestionably a French production.
