15 years later, still worst big budget movie I have seen

Watching it for first time since it first came out, and its just as horrible as I remember.

I have seen some truly horrible movies, but this one is at the top of the list.

You haven't seen many movies since 1997. And am I the only one who took the Obama reference as a sarkasm?

It is stupid. But it is so damn entertaining. The metascore of 82 is weird though

reply

Haha, yeah, it's pretty awful.

Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?

This movie kicks ass, 17 years on. One of the best action movies of the 90s, in my opinion. It released doing the action-movie boom of the mid to late 90s, with True Lies, Speed, Crimson Tide, Broken Arrow, The Rock, Con-Air and Enemy of the State.

It might be unconventional, but it still resonates. Definitely better than some of the action movies these days.

Memphis Raines: I'm a little tired, a little wired, and I think I deserve a little appreciation!

I love Woo's Hong Kong action films. Not so much his US stuff. Cage and Travolta are NOT good in this (especially Travolta). They do their best to salvage the lame script but there is no saving this terrible movie. 4/10

Having said that, there is no way that this is the worst in any category. I do agree with the above statement that it is equal to The Rock. The Rock was also very bad.

I love this film - it’s in my Top 15.

It's certainly on my TOP FIVE WORST list.

I just couldn't get past the face swap thing. No bone structure was considered.
