question about the final scenes.

Lefty and Donnie are arrested by the FBI.

In the very next scene, Lefty is back at the bar like the last scene never happened.

What gives?

He made bail?

reply

Yeah, made bail. What else? Also, what was the crime? Walking on the dock at night? Remember also, Donnie was the one supposed to do the hit.

"He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator."

He could have been charged with anything from conspiracy to commit murder, aiding and abetting or accessory before the fact, the fact being attempted murder. Though in real life Brasco was contracted to do the killing as far as I know that particular scene was pure drama.

There's a moral to this story Del Boy but for the life of me I can't find it!

I was wondering the same thing. Hey, forget about it!

Yeah, it seemed we were to understand he was out on bail for whatever charge they had used that night.

There were lawyers involved.

Remember when Lefty kept yelling at Donnie as they hauled him away to keep his mouth shut and not talk? He kept yelling that over and over.

Then he yelled that their "mouthpiece" would be in to see Donnie right away and sit tight and he'd get him out (on bail).

Lefty knew Sonny Black would send a lawyer for them. Seems that was the drill.
