$500 for ruining his whole life?

after all of the stuff he had been threw with his family and Lefty and knowing he left him to go to his death how on earth could $500 be all he is given unless the film is deliberately trying to show how one sided the life was be a good guy = $500 be a wise guy = the world
really adds new meaning to crime doesn't pay

In the context of the movie that was the point.

In real life Pistone said himself that never happened. There wasnt any $500 and he wouldnt expcet there to be any money. Instead the FBI treated him like a hero and he got a medal ceremony and like half teh FBI was there including the higher ups.

But he said because of the hell it put his family through if he had to do it again he wouldnt. But he also said he never regretted for a minute all teh real work that he got done.

Well put, Cabal24.

Pistone had an awful job. The film reminded me of an interview that I listened to recently about an amazing story of an undercover police officer who played international rugby on the weekends. Here's a link to the story: http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2010/08/12/2981093.htm.

8/10 Very good film

What about the 300k in the bag he had? What happened to that?

I'm not sure what the intent of the scene was. The small amount of the award made the FBI look bad in my view. Plus the fact that the head FBI man could not even get his name right.

I think it was to emphasise the fact that all concerned thought Joe did the job expected of him, no more, no less. Or more precisely the job he signed up for. He wasn't looking for riches or glory, though he got the glory at least.

There's a moral to this story Del Boy but for the life of me I can't find it!

''after all of the stuff he had been threw''

I had to read this 4 times to make sense of it. 'Threw' is past tense for throw- the correct word is 'through'.

Will somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?!
