Theatrical or extended version?

I received the theatrical version on Blu-ray today and was wondering which version is deemed the best?

Thanks.

The only thing I remember the extended version adding to the movie is a scene with Donnie and Lefty in a motel room. The interaction, for me at least, shows how their relationship and especially Donnie as a person has developed. You don't mention if you've watched either yet so in the extended version when Donnie and Lefty are in Florida they have an argument in the motel room. Donnie calls Lefty an ásshole and walks out and Lefty is just left annoyed. I found it interesting because at the start Lefty is the big guy and Donnie the shadow and that scene shows how far Donnie has come that he's not as intimidated by Lefty anymore. Other than that I don't remember the other scenes as being particularly substantial to the plot.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!

Thanks a lot for the help. I haven't watched either version yet, I wanted to make sure I was watching the preferred version (by the director or fans) of the movie.

Thanks again.
