Those disrespectful posters make me sick
The posts regarding this movie that dismiss it with their nasty remarks in just a few unsupported lines and claim to be the arbiters of truth by their disapproval, make me sick. Not only was Kevin Bacon's acting superb, but Timothy Hutton's directing as well. These imbeciles can't even write a well worded critique. They remind me of neo-con Republicans that made claims that anyone who disagreed with their war stance was a traitor, and made assertions of what God would approve or disapprove of. The level of their comprehension is similarly solipsistic (look it up if you don't have the education to know the meaning of the word) and the tenor of their criticisms are just plain mean-spirited. My opinion is that it takes alot of courage, fortitude and empathy to deliver the quality of self involvement and depth that Kevin demonstrated here to deliver such a wonderful performance and interpretation. My hats off to both of them for their generous and intelligent efforts in producing this professional and thought provoking drama that has elements of comedy, psychological and medical research, and sheer entertainment, aimed for an intelligent audience that has the patience and education required to commit to appreciating this excellent work of art.
