Who seen it in theatres?
I did, 6th grade and it was pretty scary. The music was scary too. I still love watching this movie.

I did, and I fainted when the bone comes out of his arm at the end.

Would have loved to see this in a theatre.

I actually saw it thrice in theaters. I was in college at the time and I was big into Brosnan (because I like James Bond). Remember seeing the trailer and heading to the theater on opening night. Then saw it about two weeks later... and then a week after that.
Was good to see it in the multiplex, as effects-driven films always are.
Yeah, i went to see this in theaters because of the Pierce "Bond" craze as well. Dante was a good movie despite its faults. I loved it!

I was 8 years old when my parents took me to see it. I had a great time and still have fond memories of that night. Dante's Peak is great on the big screen, but it doesn't translate well to the much smaller home televisions.
I remember seeing it at the flicks when it first came out. It was on as part of an all-night movie marathon and started about 2:30 in the morning.
I really enjoyed it, as I sat there surrounded by people who'd dozed off during the previous movie (don't even remember what it was!) When the volcano started to blow, they all started waking up again, and the bloke behind me kept tapping me on the shoulder and saying things like, "Hey mate, what'd I miss? Why did he just say that?" Kinda spoiled the tension!
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
Yep, I saw it in the theaters. Was a pretty decent popcorn flick as popcorn flicks go. Better than ID4, which was around the same time.
sharei missed that one.
Where there's smoke, there's barbecue!
