anyone find the idea of a volcano terrifying?
it's like hell on earth, literally.
Not where I live in Essex but would do if I lived close to one.
Or when yellow stone goes up.
Another bad one is surpost to be La Palma which could cause a Mega Tsunami on the East Coast.

Finely a poster that has seen Crack in the World.
I keep going on about this film but no one seems to remember it or talks about this.
Its hot that its also on Blu Ray now.

Oh, is it out on Blu, clacton? I didn't know! Thanks for mentioning that!
(P.S. I was wrong in my previous post, I suspect, saying it was Mount Pinatubo erupting in the title sequence of the film. I only realised in rewatching the film that the opening scenes are in Colombia, so it's probably there ... but it doesn't really metter - I still find it quite chilling, with the spooky music and all.)
Clacton, you've made my day, if I can get a good copy of a childhood favourite film!
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
Never heard of it and just saw clips from yt now. Its from 1965, does it hold up today?
shareWhole movie now on YouTube: https://youtu.be/qD8NhEROb7A?si=t4NxycXVVs6GM9XR
shareThank you! I put that on my watch list!
shareI bet it would feel terrifying. I was living a navy base in the Philippines when it errupted in 1991. I was about 3, so I couldn't remember anything. My dad took videos of the aftermath, and it was terrible.
Check out my music site! I'm currently #4 on the indie charts. Help me be #1! thanks for the support!

Watching this movie on TV right now because it always gives me a thrill. I am terrified of volcanoes and have been since watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom as a little girl - had such bad nightmares about it, I had to be sedated one night.
shareI'm sure there's some nut case out there that gets turned on by a volcano.
shareOh no - they're on to me...

I've been learning recently that when the New Madrid fault blows in 2018, the area I live in will be either part of the Gulf of Mexico or part of Lake Michigan, so volcanos are a far away problem for me... unless Yellowstone blows, then I'll be covered by volcanic ash, unless an asteroid or a megatornado gets me, or I die of old age first.
shareI do, especially if it dropped thousands of feet of ash on top of the cities and suburbs.
