Every ten years this list gets compiled out of the votes of film makers, films critics etc In the mood for love is one of the few movies to be on the list that was made after 2000.

it is a deserving achievement, the film is perfect in my opinion, you can only say that about maybe 10 films ever, i think it must go in my top 10, top 10 is nearly impossible to narrow down, i start to panic just at the thought, love to do it though, so off the top of my head...
in no order...

pulp fiction
goodfellas
there will be blood
seven samurai
in the mood for love
godfather
godfather II
tokyo story
taxi driver
close up
oldboy

I was also very pleased to see both this and Mulholland Dr (#28) on Sight and Sound's latest poll.

The only 2 films post 2000 to make the list and they're up there with some of the greats. Just looking at some of the film below these two makes my head spin. Godfather Part II. Taxi Driver. Bicycle Thieves. Metropolis.

Outrageous! Though I would have to agree :)

For anyone who says they don't make 'em like they used to, I like to keep gems like this in my back pocket just so they can retract such a ridiculous sweeping statement.
