My Brief Conversation with Owen Wilson...

I bumped into Owen when he was in town for a film festival, and our encounter went something like this:

Me: Mr. Wilson! I can't believe it! Love your movies! How's it going?

Owen: Oh, hi. Thank you. Things are pretty good.

Me: What does it feel like knowing you were in the funniest comedy of all time?

Owen: Gosh, that's a strong statement, thank you. Wedding Crashers was a real hit, but I don't know exactly how it ranks on the all-time list...

Me: Wedding Crashers...yeah, that was okay. But I was talking about Anaconda.

Owen: Oh, I see. So, how about you get out of my *beep* face now?

WHAT A GREAT GUY!

well, sometimes actors will do movies primarily for the pay check, especially as he wasn't overly well-known at that point in time

and maybe he did that one just because he thought it'd be a fun one to do, nothing wrong with that

if somebody came up to you and made it seem like they were going to give you a compliment on your work, and then it turned out they were just wanting to be a prick and turn around and insult your work, your reaction might not be all that gracious either

Yeah..you're not funny, dude. Sorry. What a corny ass post

& out of all the comedies Owen Wilson has done, I'm sure right when you said 'funniest comedy of all time', his immediate thought was Wedding Crashers...you're an idiot. If you're going to make *beep* up, at least make it believable and/or funny.

Yeah I was a little surprised he assumed that, too. I mean in addition to "Anaconda" there were also the comedic gems such as "Behind Enemy Lines" or "The Haunting"...hilarious on their own merits, for sure, but still not the granddaddy.

HAHA! Good for you!

If you sign on for a movie like "Anaconda," you better be prepared to put up with all the guff/ribbing that will inevitably follow as the natural result of being part of such a "memorable" movie (as well as get a new agent!).

"Don't call me 'honey', mac."
"Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"
