Complex at the end?

I think the complex at the end of the movie is really cool, but I can't figure out what it was used for. Anyone know? It's neat because it's a big worn out structure in the middle of the Amazon River that was abandoned and occupied by the bad guy.

I always thought that place looked creepy and cool, but also added some surprise factor because before that point the only man made things they came across were native artifacts and another boat. It's also awesome when J-Lo climbs up the smoke stack and when she reaches the top it looks like she's about 20-stories high.

Wasn't it an old saw mill?

I don't know the answer, but I agree with this poster. The large saws are a give away. Not sure why a sawmill would have smoke stacks, tho. Unless they burn the trimmings.

I don't think Serone lived there, remember this is where all the baby snakes were- so obviously this was where the snakes lived at some point. Call me crazy, but I don't think Serone and the anacondas would make good roommates.
