Is the rescue at the end minimally plausible?

Can two planes keep flying together for so long (I know there is refueling but that is with special purpose equipment and at high altitudes where air is thin and no bad weather at all)? Can a propeller plane fly as fast as a jet (or a jet as slow as a propeller)? Can a cable not snap at the smallest separation between the planes? can the human body whitstand the forces of being shaken like a ragdoll being dragged thru the air at a several hundred mph speed? can a man pull another man into a flying jet plane? can a human wheel down a line despite the wind? and with a schoolgirl? aren't planes fast and heavy as f+ck?

All of those are possible.

No, and certainly not with the larger and faster plane critically damaged, one engine out and the plane rushing in a glide descent towards the sea, without anyone in the cockpit. The cable would have snapped like sewing thread within a minute under those conditions. But hey, this is Hollywood...

You are a lunatic, Sir, and you're going to end up on the Russian front. I have a car waiting.
