Who's death brought you the most satisfaction and who's the least

I'm currently watching the series for the 2nd time. I'm almost done with season 5.
Neither death has happened yet but Vern's the most, Said the least.
That's not taking any completely innocent victims into count. Like Tony's son or father, etc.
I know my answers are boring to most but I'm interested to hear what others think.

Also who's would you have liked to see that didn't happen?

Mine was Claire Howell.

There were other deaths that were upsetting to me as well but there's too many to list.

I just finished watching the last episode of the second season and Kippel's crucifixion really disturbed me. Not for the symbolism but I was really starting to sympathize with that character. He was getting *beep* from everybody and even the father. Poor guy just came back to sleep.

reply

Sippel didn't die in the crufixion. Just took a long visit the Benchley Memorial.

Most: Wangler and Schillinger
Least: Said and Glynn
Deserved to die: O'Reily and Robson
Most unexpected: Ortolani and Hill

reply

The most satisfying: Vern. Vile despicable character, but a character i hated and loved at the same time. I was glad he was killed much later in the series then early on like Ortolani.

Least: Chris Keller. Unnecessary death and the way he died was pathetic.

Deserved: Ryan O'Reilly. Despised this maurading rat and wanted to see him get his comeuppance.

Most unexpected: Adebisi. Not a fan of the character but was suprised to see him die, given he was such a integral character to the show. Notable mention to Ronnie Barlog (Chris Kellers' friend). Would have liked to see him for more episodes to see how the dynamic relationship would change/expand with Keller and Beecher.

Agreed 100% - Glad I am not the only one who grew to despise this weasel. Almost all of the murders, rapes, and assaults were a direct result of his game playing.

Most Satisfaction: Vern
Least Satisfaction: Hill
Deserved: Ryan O'Reilly
Most Unexpected: Hill

Can't believe so many people hate O'Reilly. He was my favorite. I mean, he was an *beep* but you gotta give credit where credit is due. He was cunning and knew exactly how to survive in Oz.

Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends.

Each time I watch it, O'Riley's mind games and manipulation make me go, "Damn, he's an evil genius!" But then I remember that, yes, part of it is him being very smart, but a lot of it is also everyone else being kind of stupid. Most of the time, instead of giving some thought to or trying to verify any of what he's said, the other inmates just act on impulse and go kill whomever they're now mad at because of what he's said.
No one stops to think and realize that he's got an agenda.

MOST: Wangler

LEAST: Adebisi

Most: Metzger
Least: The Chinese guy that Morales had killed (to frame Redding I think)

Dino Ortolani's. Way too early. He had too much potential.

reply

I know! I was kind of surprised that they took him out so early. I saw the series for the first time in years, but I had never seen the first season. I decided to binge watch it last weekend and I have to say: Dino Ortolani should have been around for much longer. They made a huge mistake taking him out so soon.

Most satisfaction

Like many else have said, Kenny Wangler. What a horrible, irredeemable human being. J.D. Williams did a phenomenal job though, he definitely made me loathe the character!

Vern Schillinger. He really ruined Tobias' life! But man was he endlessly entertaining though.

Timmy Kirk. Hated him. Hated, hated, hated him.

Least satisfaction

Kareem Said. He was such an iconic character and I hated to see him to see him die.

Antonio Nappa. 10 episodes? ONLY 10 EPISODES??? Come on, man!

Nino Schibetta. He was a great underrated character who at least deserved a guest spot as a "ghost" in season 6.

Raoul Hernandez. He was despicable and deserved to die, but it happened too early.

Most unexpected

Kareem Said. When he suddenly got shot I asked myself "WHAT THE *beep* JUST HAPPENED?!".

Leo Glynn. I thought he would stay on the show for every episode!

Dino Ortolani. Did anyone really think he would die in the first episode?!

Deserved to die, but didn't

Of course Claire Howell! She even raped people!!! And she's a *beep* prison guard, for Christ's sake!

No one here has mentioned him yet, but James Devlin. He was disgustingly selfish, can't believe they didn't have him offed.

reply

I'm a first time viewer, a few episodes into S4 and II really doubt a death could be more satisfying than Kenny Wangler's. The kid was a punk so when O'Reilly and Adabisi set that up I was stoked!

I'm sure when Schilliger gets it, that it'll be satisfying.

From the OP's post, I take it that Howell doesn't die. She'd be right there with Wangler so that's probably the biggest problem I'll have with this show outside of Charles S. Dutton never reprising his character (did he turn the show down? His first episode was amazing!)

Most satisfaction:

Wangler - by the time it happened, this little pr*ck had become unbearable.

Coyle - a sick *beep* but I would have liked them to have built up the animosity between him and Nappa over a few more episodes before it happened.

Cutler - detestable character, supposed to be a tough guy but got his ass handed to him by skinny little Omar White. Funny that his twisted sexual practices got him smoked in such an embarrassing way.

Least satisfaction -

Said - such stupid reasoning behind why it happened. Season 6 degenerated into a pointless bloodbath.

Jia Kenmin - no resolution to it, no wrap up scene. Plus how exactly did the guards get away with it?

Stanislofsky - electrocuted in a bathtub??? *beep* off....

Morales - after everything, he gets smothered by a serial killing nurse?

Supreme Allah - murdered by eggs.

Should have died -

Reggie Rawls - minor character, but an annoying d**khead.

Frank Urbano - how did he get away with murdering Hill in front of everyone with no consequence?

'And you can't p*ss on hospitality, I WON'T ALLOW IT!'

reply

So many "came and went," but right at the top of the list is Timmy Kirk! Love redheads, but he's such a sick arse bastard! From throwing away his kid in a dumpster to being upset when Cloutier wouldn't submit to his sexual advances, he caused a lot of heartache; inside and out of OZ! He survived many attempts, but was finally knocked off near the end of the series by "Hoyt" who had a vision earlier to kill him!

After Glynn's allowing prisoners to inhale lead while in solitary, he should have lived long enough to be "put away" in "OZ!" Too bad it didn't happen! Put him in solitary since he wouldn't even allow the good doctor to rat him out! 

Most satisfying: Wangler for bullying the French dude and just being an all around piece of shit.

Also, Adam Guenzel for raping that girl and bragging about it. Also, foolishly turning against Beecher. I'm glad he got his shit pushed in by Vern.
