Ummmm let me be perfectly clear: Substitute Teachers do NOT get evaluated. Their job is to pass out the busy work and make sure the kids don't kill each other. If Tom Landry Middle School also needed Peggy that bad then why would they be throwing her an evaluation? If a school is short on subs then they are grateful to whomever they get, if the person can legally sit in the room and monitor the kids then they do not make further demands of them. Teachers write off days that they have a substitute as a wasted days. The fact that Peggy was actually teaching is going above and beyond what a substitute is responsible for and how could anyone reasonably "evaluate" her if Peggy literally found out she was teaching Spanish an hour ago? If I had been Peggy I would have been like "then I guess I won't come in then".

Also on an unrelated matter "Substitute Teacher Of The Year" is the epitome of a BS award.
