What episode was it when they were driving home from a party and crashed the car? Dharma was pregnant i believe. What happend after that one?

shareShe was not pregnant. She was injured...something with her legs that required physical therapy. Greg wound up feeling very guilty over the accident and also had dismissed Dharma and her family's spiritual healing methods.

Those episodes are called "The End of the Innocence."

IMO thats when the show jumped the shark.
The subject matter was too uncomfortable for a sitcom.
I watch sitcoms to get away from reality and laugh not to be reminded of reality.
I didn't like the whole story line with the Hercules guy. I thought it was completely out of character for Dharma.
I thought the car crash was an impromptu situation to explain Dharmas injury. Maybe it's just me and but it seems as though Jenna was dealing with a real-life injury because she stayed in that leg cast for a few episodes.
I really understand what you are saying. I didn't like the story line either where "Hercules" was thrown into the picture with Dharma. If Dharma was supposed to be soooo in love with Greg why was she with another man and kissing him? She had no business getting invloved with this man and his personal business of trying to make his wife jealous. This show was supposed to be comedy. When the writers and producers took that route they turned a lot of people off, including me, because that was not comedy.
shareWhile I like Kevin Sorbo I wasn't really happy with that either.
However, I think they were looking for something to shake things up a bit and that they did.
IMHO the show jumped the shark because ABC moved the timeslot!
Sadly it's not the first time a show got canceled because of poor management decesions.(..and not because of bad writing)
Everything on TV is NOT realitiy, i can't see why sitcoms shouldnt deal with 'real' or uncomfortable issues. They may be doing that in another way as a drama series would do it, but shows like Friends, Frasier, Cosby Show(Scrubs?,Simpsons?American Dad?) etc. done that all the time...and WOW they were successful!
