I have a problem with the ending. The tax thing might have hurt the lawyer and make him lose his license, but he would still be able to continue with the lucrative project with a strawman lawyer.

The point of finding dirt on him, was to use it to get him to cooperate, and they coulden't because the IRS also found out.

Well if he was in jail and lost a lot of money I doubt he'd continue.
