I have been watching the show again in syndication. I thought they made a downfall in the last two seasons but I think that they should have had another season to fix things and to fill the holes in the plot. They definitely deserved another chance seeing that "Two and a half Men" is still going after a disastrous run since Charlie left the show.
If the show had gotten a 6th season how would you have tied things up? Darma and Greg were trying to get pregnant in the back of the van. Maybe she would have gotten pregnant. Kitty and Edward were being held up by the FBI. Something to do with there money. In the end they might have been rich but not as much as before. I don't know what they would have done with Jane and Pete. I would't want them to get remarried.
They wouldn't have ended season 5 how they did with Greg's parents if there was going to be a season 6. Or if they did, it would be an easily fixed deal within an episode or two. I don't know if Jane would be around at all since she disappeared from the show early in season 5. I guess she could always return since it was never explained why she wasn't around.
I'm guessing if they got another season, they would have had Dharma get pregnant. They teased it a few times over the years, so it would have been nice to do in the last season.
I just finished watching the show again on YouTube. The thing they were investigating was started because Pete made up stuff so that lady might sleep with him. It was a dumb move. It could be fix eventuly. If someone made false accusations someone would get in trouble. Who would it be? I'll say it again. If they had gotten a 6th season I'm sure Dharma would have gotten pregnant. Would anybody be for another season like they did for Arrested Development? Maybe they could do it on Netflix. Or even a TV movie to wrap stuff up.
Well the premise is built on two very different people learning about each other and their very different families clashing. Those things inevitable resolve after a time and there wasn't much new ground for the story, so I don't mind it ending.
- Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.
I read that the projected plot for season six was that Dharma and Greg were going to adopt a five-year old girl (to be played by the actress Hallie Hirsch <sp?>). It's been some time since I read that so I cannot post a reference link but I think I found it somewhere in Hirsch's information. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I remember thinking at the time that I thought that might have ruined the dynamic of the show had it not been cancelled.
