Did you ever notice that no one ever referred to Andie as pretty or beautiful? Pacey seemed to really be in love with her when they were together, but I don't recall him once saying she was beautiful. They talked about Joey like she was some sort of goddess, and it was clear that they thought Jen was attractive as well, but no one ever said anything about Andie's appearance. I just found it weird.

Still though...Jen all the guys thought was hot from the beginning, and Joey they ignored at first but once they did start to notice, it was like she put every other woman on the planet to shame as far as they were concerned lol. Andie didn't really seem to be noted for her beauty overall.
It's just funny how they played up Joey to the point where she was supposed to be the most beautiful girl any of the guys had ever seen when before the very end of season 1 they had never seen her as anything more than just one of the guys. They seemed to try to make Jen look as hideous as possible in some seasons, particularly season 6 (granted, Joey didn't look all that great in season 6 either, but they gave Jen the most unflattering haircut I have seen on anyone on TV). And Andie wasn't really thought of as beautiful it didn't seem - they seemed to downplay her looks as well by having her wear her hair in unflattering ways and wear dowdy clothes. Audrey I guess was supposed to be "hot" but she was a flamboyant character from the beginning.

Yeah. With some exceptions I agree and just like with Jen I think they downplayed Andie's beauty throughout the show 'cause they wanted everybody to focus on Joey and didn't want anybody taking the spotlight off her.
