Pacey and Andie McPhee vs Pacey and Joey?
You choose the soulmates? Republicans
shareLol, don't know why my phone added in "republicans" in this post. Sorry.
sharePacey and Andie. I didn't mind Joey and Pacey but they assassinated Andie's character to put them together.

Yes exactly.
1. Agreed they challenged each other on a healthy level.
3. The worst moment for me was watching Joey lie to Dawson about having sex with Pacey and Pacey looks crushed when he finds out. HIs dad already thought the world of Dawson and then he has to compete with him throughout the show for Joey. Another example is Joey bringing a gift back for Dawson when they return from the boating trip and then she hides it from Pacey.
4. I also agree there too. I think the writers confuse passions with dysfunction on quite a few shows. Promicide is hard to watch for that reason. Pacey and Andie had different and better understanding of each other and it showed in their overall dynamic as a couple.

What kind of mental illness did she have?
shareOh, I agree with you 100%. And the assassination didn't stop with her cheating on Pacey, either. I'm watching the episode where she falsely accused that guy of attempting to rape her, all so she could manipulate Pacey into feeling sorry for her and giving their relationship another chance. How disgustingly low can one person get? This is one moment where I really can't stand Andie. In fact, I think it's the only moment.

It's tough for me to answer. Andie definitely brought out the absolute best in Pacey and he in her. She inspired him to be more serious about his school work and future and he showed her that she didn't have to control everything. Unfortunately, I never really liked Andie. I thought she was way too neurotic. The fact that she cheated on him and then he she reacted when he couldn't just forgive her and move on, plus how she kept trying to get him back (like how she made up the story of that guy trying to force himself on her) was just terrible. I get that it was character assassination to push Joey and Pacey, but does still have to be looked at as part of their history.
I loved season 3 Pacey, and do think that Joey should get some recognition for that. I also found her a lot more likeable in season 3 because she wasn't so angry and bitchy to everyone. When Joey and Pacey officially started their relationship, though, in season 4, it was a colossal disaster. The breakup at the prom came completely out of nowhere and it was hard to root for them at all after that.
Not that you asked, but Pacey and Audrey was the most ridiculous, but that could have been because Audrey was absolutely ridiculous. What is with the writers not being able to write for any of the female characters for any kind of period of time?
Anyway, I guess I will go with Pacey and Andie.
Wow, I didn't think I would get the replies I did. Thank you very much. Bump. :-)
shareTotally different answer -- Pacey and Audrey. I loved them together (for a little while anyway). I definitely like/liked her more as a character on her own than I did Andie though.
shareI'm rewatching this series and I definitely think Pacey was better with Andie.
I liked how they playfully hated each other at first then started liking each other.
And she was good for him.
Yeah they killed her character at the end of season 2 when she went mentally insane.
I loved Pacey and Andie together. Loved Pacey and Joey together more.
