I hope Joey actually ends up with Dawson

Just because the show ended up with her and Pacey doesn't mean they are endgame ultimately. Being together at 25 doesn't mean anything.

I really only liked the idea of them as a couple in season 3 when he was pining over her. The reality of their relationship wasn't all that great. Every other episode was him being insecure because he thought she still wanted Dawson. Then they slept together and he blew up at her and they broke up. And watching Joey throw herself at him over and over in the prom episode with him not even wanting to kiss her was just cringeworthy to see.

Even though Dawson was an immature jerk in some of the earlier seasons, I really rooted for them as a couple all along - it didn't fade away when they got together like it did with Pacey and Joey. And as adults, now in their 30s, he probably wouldn't be like that anymore anyway.
