I've read a tweet where it was written that Joss Whedon decided to make Willow lesbian because the male fans of the series found her "relatable" as an ideal girlfriend,so he made her lesbian,as a reaction to this. But i cant find any link on Google where this is written. So does anyone knows if its true or not?

Yes, but if Charisma Carpenter and her much larger fun bags knocked on the door then the 16 year old would have pushed Willow out of the bed and been banging Charisma. The bottom line was Willow was the least attractive of all the females on Buffy, a teenage boy would have banged any of the girls on the show but Willow wasn't going to be the first one on any teen boys list.

I think the point of the tweet i've read is not so much about the attractiveness but more about this "girlfriend material" element,but like i said,who knows if its true or not. ^^
shareI don't think 16 year old boys have realized the limitation of who they can get as a girlfriend yet. That normally doesn't happen until later and for some guys it doesn't happen until they are a whole lot older.

1. Even in the 90s, a college age chick dabbling in "Wiccan" was at some point going to try it with another chick.
2. That she decided then, that she was a "lesbian" was also typical for the time. BUT,
3. it was bullshit considering her very real love affairs with both Oz and Xander. BI would have been reasonable.
